Casa Árabe in the Architecture Week
Once more, Casa Árabe takes part in the "Architecture Week" opening its building to the public for a guided tour called "Eclecticism Style Route".

Casa Árabe’s headquarters in Madrid is an emblematic example of Neo-Mudejar style, its visit is included in the guided tours in the “Eclecticism Style Route”, a stroll around the axis of Alcala street and the beginning of Gran Via, along which a series of representative buildings will be explained and depicted: Casa Árabe (the former Aguirre Schools) was designed by Emilio Rodríguez Ayuso, and constitutes an example of a Neo-Mudejar building; the church of San Manuel and San Benito, by Fernando Arbós, is a piece of the Neo-Byzantin style; the Casa Palazuelo and the Cibeles Palace, by the architect Antonio Palacios, are two of the most important buildings of the eclecticism style present at the turn of the 20th century; the Bank of Spain, designed by Eduardo de Adaro, serves as a Neo- Renaissance example; the Linares Palace and the building of the Union and the Phoenix, are two different pieces of the Neo-Baroque style, located as well at the beginning of the Gran Vía, characterised for being quite an important example of the Madrilian eclecticism period.
The Architecture Week, organized by the COAM (Colegio de Arquitectos de Madrid), will take place from October 1st to 7th. Seven days where the architecture will be the main character of Madrid’s daily life. Therefore, there will be a wide range of activities including visits to buildings, itineraries, lectures, exhibitions and open workshops intended for all kinds of public, regardless of age or interests.
