This is a unique performance in which those attending will get the chance to enjoy the talent of musicians originating from every corner of the globe, all of whom are studying their musical specializations at the Valencia campus. It is a special opportunity to enjoy the fusion of genres and styles resulting from the mixture of visions and sounds which the students are experiencing during their time at the university, with the Teatro Monumental as a stage for an extraordinary evening.

The Berklee campus in Valencia is the first international campus which the prestigious Berklee College of Music created outside of Boston. Since it was opened in the fall of 2012, the campus has offered master’s degree programs to students from around the world who seek exceptional training to prepare themselves for careers in the music industry, as well as sharing knowledge and experiences with students from other cultures in the capital city of the Valencian Autonomous Region.
Founded in 1945, the Berklee College of Music has changed over the years to reflect the most cutting-edge innovations in the music world and business, having been at the forefront of the first academic studies in jazz, rock, electric guitar, soundtracks, composition, electronic production and more than a dozen other genres and fields of study. With a diverse and talented study body that represents nearly 100 countries, and former students and professors who, as a group, has won more than 205 Grammy and Latin Grammy awards, Berklee is the world’s most important laboratory of learning for music today.
With the cooperation of one of the most cutting-edge projects at the Berklee College of Music, the Institute of Music of the Mediterranean, Casa Árabe has planned three very high-quality concerts to date, which have helped offer Arab students at the school get the chance to become known by the public in Madrid and Cordoba. These concerts have been given by the duo of Jordanian violinist Layth Al-Rubaye and Palestinian cellist Naseem Alatrash; Lebanese vocalist Christiane Karam and the fusion of musical traditions created by the trio made up of Ilias Papantoniou, Yarub M. Samarait and Juan Manuel Guevara. The concert which is now being offered in Madrid, with the participation of many diverse students from this important school, means consolidating the rewarding collaborative work which began over two years ago.
