Congratulations to Delfina Entrecanales
Prince of Wales Medal for Philanthropy in the Arts
December 16, 2013
Delfina Entrecanales, a Spaniard devoted to patronage and support for young artists from the Arab world through her Foundation for many years, has received the Prince of Wales Medal for Philanthropy in the Arts.
The Delfina Foundation, with its headquarters in London, has become a role model amongst international institutions providing support for young artists around the world through its program of residencies. Since the year of 2005, its work has focused very specifically on artists originating from the Arab world. This was the case of Kuwait artist Alia Farid, whose residency was hosted by the Casa Árabe headquarters in Cordoba, as part of the cooperation programs between Casa Árabe and the Delfina Foundation.
Further details on the ceremony held last December 10 in London on the website of the Delfina Foundation.
