Diplomat Miguel Moro becomes Casa Árabe's new General Director 

At a meeting held today, February 5, Casa Árabe's Board of Directors reached the decision to appoint Miguel Moro Aguilar as the institution's new director.

During his diplomatic career, Miguel Moro has been stationed in Amman, Jordan, and has held the positions of Deputy Mission Chief at the Spanish Embassies in Baghdad and Tel Aviv. His most recent posting abroad was as ambassador to Kuwait between 2020 and 2024. His most recent post was in Madrid, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, as Ambassador-at-Large for the Persian Gulf countries.

Casa Árabe is an institutional consortium created in July 2006 by a cooperation agreement signed by Spain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), the Autonomous Regional Government of Andalusia, the Autonomous Regional Government of Madrid, the City Council of Madrid and the City Council of Cordoba.
