Donarie Arquitectos win the Qattan Foundation Competition

On Friday 19th in October, Donaire Arquitectos has won the first prize in the International Architectural Design Competition for building the new office headquarters of the A.M.Qattan Foundation in Ramallah (Palestine).

The jury was consistinged of by important international architects from universities in Jerusalem, Cairo, Beirut and London, in addition of to the Foundation Council. Their jury elected decision was to select the Sevillian company after the presentation of all the projects, including three Spanish finalist teams, –Francisco Mangado Arquitectos (Pamplona), Pesquera Ulargui Arquitectos (Madrid) and the British MRJ Rudenll&Associates–.  
The aim of the new building is to became a symbol and a reference of the Palestinian and Arab culture, which could be seen everywhere in city.
During the building process of the new A.M.Qattan Foundation headquarters, Sakini&Partners, a local architectural study, will help Donaire Arquitectos in the monitoring of the works and the application of technical regulations of Palestine.
