Education, Cultural Diversity and Global Citizenship: Building inclusive societies 

On July 7 and 8, this summer course will be held in El Escorial, and Casa Árabe will be contributing by participating in the round table talk “Challenges and Opportunities in Cultural Diversity for a More Inclusive Society.”

In an increasingly globalized world, cultural diversity has become an inescapable reality that enriches our societies, because not only ushering in a wealth of perspectives and experiences, but it also challenges societies to find ways to achieve harmonious co-existence. 

Within this context, education plays a key role in promoting mutual understanding and respect amongst cultures, as well as in building inclusive societies. 

These developments will be the focus of the course “Education, Cultural Diversity and Global Citizenship: Building inclusive societies,” organized by the “Migrations, Interculturality and Human Development” (MIDH) research group, which forms part of the Universidad San Jorge in Zaragoza, as part of the summer courses held by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in El Escorial. 

Casa Árabe will be contributing to the round table discussion on July 7 at 4::00 p.m., titled “Challenges and Opportunities in Cultural Diversity for a More Inclusive Society,” with the participation of Olivia Orozco,Casa Árabe’s Training and Economics Coordinator. 

The course will be taking place from September 2 to 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 6::00 p.m. at the Cuartel de inválidos y voluntarios a caballo (“Barracks of invalids and volunteers on horseback”) (located at Calle Las Pozas, 3), in the town of San Lorenzo de El Escorial.
