MADRID
The Gaza Strip has been devastated for nearly two years, enduring almost constant bombardment, forced displacement, destruction and the shutdown of basic services. Israel’s military operations have indiscriminately targeted civilian buildings, including homes, hospitals, schools and United Nations facilities.

The exhibition at the Thyssen Museum brings together 27 photographs taken by photojournalists who have been documenting life in the Strip under siege since October 2023.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has been serving the people of Gaza for decades, providing education, healthcare, protection, vocational training, psychosocial support and humanitarian aid, and since October 2023 has been focusing its efforts on responding to this emergency.

The exhibition “Gaza Through Their Eyes” is free to visit and can be seen in the lobby of the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum from September 23 to October 19, during the following opening hours: Mondays: From 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and from 9:00 to 11:00 p.. (free entry from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m.).
