First AEDE-UAH Archeological Training Scholarship in in Egypt

The program makes it possible to take part in the archeological excavations which the University of Alcalá is carrying out at the Deir el-Bahari site in Luxor, Egypt.

The Spanish Egyptology Association (AEDE) and the University of Alcalá (UAH), through their archeological mission in Egypt and Middle Kingdom Theban Project, are offering the First AEDE-UAH Archeological Training Scholarship in Egypt. This scholarship will allow a bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or PhD student, as well as a recent PhD graduate (in the last two years), to participate in the archeological excavations being performed by the UAH mission at the Deir el-Bahari site in Luxor, Egypt.

The scholarship includes all travel, lodging, meals, medical insurance and employment insurance expenses, as well as the materials and technology necessary to work with this mission. The UAH mission and Middle Kingdom Theban Project team is multidisciplinary and international and has been doing its work under the auspices of the UAH at this cemetery from Egypt’s Middle Kingdom (2000 BC) for the last four years.

Rules for applying

The time period for submitting applications is from November 1 through December 10, 2018.
