Guided tours of Moorish Madrid

The Center for Studies on Islamic Madrid has organized a series of guided tours of Moorish Madrid and the Madrid of the Hapsburgs to learn about the past of our city. They will be taking place from September through December, with a new tour each month. Find out more!

The Centre for Studies on Islamic Madrid (CEMI) of the Islamic Culture Foundation (FUNCI) is dedicated to the research and promotion of the Madrid’s Islamic historical legacy and that of its region (Moorish, Mudéjar and Morisco). It provides a cross-cutting view of this legacy to help build a diverse and respectful society in Madrid.

Among its activities, the center organizes guided tours to show the public more about this part of our past. The schedule of tours is as follows:

Moorish Madrid:
Saturday, September 17

The Other Madrid of the Austrias:
Saturday, September 10
Saturday, October 1
Saturday, November 19
Sunday, December 18

The tours will be given at 10:30 a.m. with an approximate duration of two and a half hours. The price is 10 euros per person and to participate you must sign up by clicking on this link.
