International gathering: “Let’s Meet in the Cultural and Spiritual Places”

Casa Árabe is hosting this international gathering on the date of April 8 at its headquarters in Cordoba, organized with the cooperation of the Medina Azahara secondary school (IES) within the framework of the Erasmus + program.

The event is an attempt to create a historical and cultural journey from Islamic culture in Europe to Christian culture in Asia, from Roman culture in Italy to Ancient Greek culture in Athens, in which participants will delve into the similarities between religious structures and their complementary effect on the places and environments in which they develop. In this type of cultural, historical and religious crossroads, ranging from Anatolia to Andalusia, one can witness a majestic cultural wealth, both historical and contemporary.

The objectives of the event include promoting social cohesion and community by introducing different cultures and spiritual sites; contributing to the development of the students linguistic skills with CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) and ITC (Information and Communication Technologies) skills; ensuring intercultural interaction, and analyzing the cultural and spiritual sites which are symbols of peace and brotherhood in the case of Cordoba.
