MADRID
Qatar has one of the most thriving and dynamic economies in the Gulf region and is undergoing strong, rapid diversification, promoting easy access to some of the main trade centers around the world. It holds an ideal position for any business seeking to expand into the Middle East. The government of Qatar has set the goal of turning the country into a regional economic and financial center. Qatar’s investment plans form part of what has been called the “Qatar National Vision for 2030” and the country’s preparation for the holding of the World Cup soccer event in 2022.

It is one of the wealthiest economies in the world, thanks to its natural petroleum resources (51% of its GDP) and natural gas, ranked as the top producer of liquefied gas worldwide and third in gas overall, for a population of 2.6 million inhabitants, with the highest per-capita income in the world (US$128,487 in 2018, according to the International Monetary Fund). In 2018, there was an 8% increase in bilateral trade between Spain and Qatar, reaching the figure of 1.12 billion euros, with a considerable increase in our exports. The Qatar Financial Centre provides an appealing platform for a wide range of companies that seek to expand in and out of Qatar.

The seminar will be held on Thursday, November 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the headquarters of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (address: Plaza de la Independencia, 1). Free entry, though you must register first to attend by following this link.
