MADRID
The magazine “Baynana” (Arabic for “Between Us”), published in Arabic and Spanish, was created to provide useful information to the Arabic-speaking community while building bridges between migrants, refugees and Spaniards of foreign origin and the rest of Spanish society.
To achieve this, they plan to address issues concerning these groups, providing first-person narratives of experiences while combating stereotypes in order to bring the many sectors of society closer together, placing an emphasis on the common ground which they share.
Journalists Ayham al-Ghareeb, Moussa al Jamaat, Okba Mohammed, Muhammad Subat and Andrea Olea have created this project with the help of donations and various contributions. The magazine also has a website that already includes several reports.
To continue growing, they need the support of more contributors, technical equipment and translators, as well as an increase in their funding. If you would like to help, you can donate to the crowdfunding campaign that they have launched through this link.
