During the meeting the two held together, Al-Alem was given the opportunity to learn about the institution’s public diplomacy efforts, which serve as a bridge between Spain and Arab countries. Accompanied by the Libyan Ambassador to Spain, His Excellency Mr. Walid Bashir Abuabdalla they visited the exhibition “Time Together,” organized in order to mark Casa Árabe’s twentieth anniversary by showcasing two decades in the relations between Spain and the region.

Al-Alem is currently visiting Spain to attend the Ministerial Conference on Palestinian Culture, organized by the Ministries of Culture of Spain and Palestine in Madrid on July 15 and 16, an international forum at which 25 international delegations, including Ministers, Secretaries of State, and Deputy Ministers of Culture, will be taking part, alongside organizations such as UNESCO and the Arab League.

Upon his arrival in Madrid, Minister Al-Alem chose Casa Árabe as his first official stop, in a clear demonstration of his support for the institution.
