On October 15, 2004, Spain’s Council of Ministers decided, at the proposal of the Ministry of Justice, to create the Pluralism and Co-existence Foundation to contribute to the promotion of religious freedom in Spain, a fundamental right enshrined in the Spanish Constitution. What began as an intuition, a good idea that foresaw the changes which religious plurality would bring about, is now a solid project ready to deal with new challenges.
