Meeting with Prof. Justo Lisandro Corti Varela from the UNED School of Law
Casa Árabe’s General Director, Miguel Moro Aguilar, met with Corti Varela with the goal of strengthening ties between the two institutions.

MADRID
Justo Lisandro Corti Varela is a tenured professor of Public International Law at the UNED’s School of Law.
He earned his PhD in Law at the UCM in 2008, as well as a Master’s degree in European Union Law (UCM) in 2003 and a Diploma in European Union International Cooperation Policy (UCM) in 2004. He has served as an associate professor at CEU San Pablo University and as a senior researcher at the Institute of European Studies, a visiting professor at the University of Nanterre, a post-doc researcher at the CNRS in Paris and a visiting researcher at UCL in London and Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa.
He has also served as the Academic Secretary of the PhD program in International Security and as Vice-Dean for Quality and Innovation at the UNED School of Law.
His fields of research include International Environmental Law, International Economic Law, the European Union and the international regulation of new technologies. He has been a member of the research team of more than 20 projects, under both Spain’s National Plan and European initiatives, as well as forming part of research contracts.
