Moroccan journalists visit Casa Árabe’s headquarters in Madrid  

As part of a working trip organized by Spain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, and the Carolina Foundation, a group of media professionals from Morocco visit Casa Árabe.

The initiative brought together journalists from media outlets such as Hespress, L’Economiste, L’Opinion, Le Desk, Le Matin, SNRT TV and Telquel. The trip took place from December 14 to 17, during which time the group got the opportunity to visit the cities of Madrid and Barcelona, where they held meetings with governmental and cultural entities and media outlets.

In Madrid, they visited La Moncloa and held meetings with various officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation. They also visited the headquarters of media outlets such as El País and Televisión Española, and institutions such as the Telefónica Foundation and Casa Árabe.

At Casa Árabe, they were welcomed by the institution’s General Director, Miguel Moro Aguilar, accompanied by part of his team, and they were able to learn more about the institution’s work, its program of activities and its work with the media. Last of all, the group had the opportunity to visit the exhibitions currently on display, “From Alif to Zain: Calligraphic Art in Motion” and “Images of the Land of Oman,” accompanied by Casa Árabe’s Culture Coordinator, Karim Hauser.

On Wednesday 17, the group travelled to Barcelona for institutional meetings in the city and to visit the facilities of La Vanguardia.
