New Media Lending Service at the Media Library
The Casa Árabe Media Library in Madrid is starting up an at-home media lending service which will make it possible to raise awareness about its collections on the Arab and Islamic world.

Subscribing users may check out up to three books and three audiovisual items, borrowing them for time periods which range from 7-15 days. Moreover, you may reserve any specific documents you wish to borrow.
The Casa Árabe Media Library has a collection which includes:
- Cinema collection: more than 700 titles (many of them with subtitles in Spanish), including Egyptian film classics, modern fictional cinema, contemporary documentary films, films d’auteur, short subject films, creative video, animated movies, etc.
- A contemporary art and culture library: international exhibition catalogues, monographic works on artists, illustrated books, essays on film and Arab music, and more.
- Library on politics, economics and society.
- Magazines and other national and international periodicals.
- Sound library: musical resources from a wide range of styles, eras and geographic origins (classical Andalusian, gnawa, hip-hop, rai, chaabi, etc.)
- Books for studying the Arabic language and complementary resources for the Arabic Language Center.
The Media Library’s is open to the public from Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Closed Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
