PRESS RELEASE 277 OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND COOPERATION
An especially horrific –because of the fact that it was perpetrated against innocent children– double attack against a school in Homs has led to the death of dozens of people including children and adults.
The government of Spain also views with shock and dismay the inhumane violence which the terrorists of the self-named Islamic State has used in beheading innocent men and women captured near the city of Kobani.
Equally deplorable is the destruction of the Church of the Holy Martyrs in Deir Ez-Zor, a place of worship venerated by the Armenian community in Syria, in what constitutes a major violation of their cultural and religious rights.
Spain reiterates its resounding condemnation of terrorism in all forms and its determination to help fight this scourge until it is eradicated.
