Oman-Spain Cultural Encounters
From October 7 through 11, Several cities throughout Spain will be hosting sites for the Oman-Spain Cultural Encounters, which will be highlighting literature on this occasion. A diverse delegation of Omani writers and poets, including members of the Omani Society of Writers and Literati, will be visiting Madrid, Cordoba and Granada with the cooperation of Casa Árabe, and in collaboration with the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Spain and the Al-Andalus Living Library.

As a complement to this day of official opening events, Casa Árabe’s exhibition hall will be hosting a showing of books and publications on Omani literature and culture, offered by the Omani Society of Writers and Literati.

An essential entity within the cultural and literary world in Oman, its intensive activities contribute to the promotion of Omani culture through the organization of events inside of the country, while also participating in international literary events and congresses outside of the Sultanate. The Society works towards strengthening culture as one of the essential arenas within society, especially during today’s times of great transformation within Arab societies.
