Presentation of “Min Turab”

Roger Grasas’ photography project about the Gulf region comes to light in the form of a book. Presentation on July 13 in Madrid.

The publishing firm RM is presenting the book Min Turab, with photographs taken by Roger Grasas in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. This project was presented at an exhibition in Casa Árabe’s exhibition halls in Madrid from March 16 to May 7, 2017. The exhibition provided an account of the mutations which have occurred in the urban and natural landscapes of these countries as a result of the influence of phenomena such as the increase in revenue due to natural resources, globalization and tourism by the masses. 

The book now being presented by this author includes new images on this transformation from a traditional, austere culture to a post-modern society highly influenced by technology and consumerist culture, reflecting the duality of nature and technology.

The presentation will be taking place on Thursday, July 13 at 7:30 p.m. at La Fábrica (c/Alameda, 9, Madrid).
