Presentation of "Winter on Pause"

On Thursday, May 16, Casa Árabe will be hosting the presentation of "El invierno en pausa" ("Winter on Pause") at its Madrid headquarters. This documentary is about the reality of the Palestinian people from the viewpoint of the Palestinian people themselves.

The event, which will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Casa Árabe Auditorium (at Calle Alcalá, 62), will be presented by the President of Caritas Spain, Rafael del Río, and Casa Árabe’s Coordinator of Culture and New Media, Nuria Medina. The film will be shown after their presentation.

Developed within the working framework of the “Initiative for Peace” and produced by Caritas Jerusalem and Caritas Spain, “Winter on Pause” provides a look at the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians through images and the testimony of people who are working towards a fair and long-lasting peace in this land. It was filmed during the institutional pilgrimage of a group of members of Caritas Spain to the region to become familiar with the situation of pain and hope in Palestine. This documentary takes a viewpoint of being convinced that a peace alternative must be offered which is based on justice, by building bridges instead of walls.
