Rabih Mroué in Madrid
From March 3 to 6, the Conde Duque Contemporary Center for Culture is showcasing the work of this Lebanese actor, director, playwright and visual artist, which includes the screening of feature films and a theatrical performance.

On March 3 at 7:30 p.m., we will be screening eight short-subject films and on March 5 and 6, at 8:00 p.m., there will be a performance of the play Riding on a Cloud, which has now been on a world tour for seven years.
Mroué’s work explores the use and mass production of images, the geopolitical reality of his country of birth, Lebanon, and more current events such as the Arab Spring and Syrian conflict.
Mroué uses archives and documents to create audiovisual pieces with a particular narrative, thus spurring the audience to reflect on issues such as forgetting, memory, fiction and truth, as well as the questions we may pose as a result of viewing these images.
