MADRID
This is the first edition of a charitable race which has been organized by Amnesty International, the Association of Support for the Syrian People (AAPS) and Acción en Red Madrid. Its main objective is to denounce human rights violations in Syria and the major humanitarian crisis which that country’s population is suffering.

With the proceeds earned when runners sign up (€10.60 per person), the Association of Support for the Syrian People will send humanitarian aid materials (medical items, clothing, toys, etc.) to the population living in Syria, especially those who are internally displaced.

The race will begin as of 9:00 a.m. and will take place along the Paseo de la Castellana, with the starting point and finish line in the Plaza de Cibeles. There are two different race lengths, either 5 or 10 kilometers, with men’s and women’s categories, as well as race bibs numbered zero for those who wish to contribute without having to run the race itself.

All of the information on the run, as well as information on how to sign up, can be found at: www.correporsiria.org
