Also present at this gathering were the Delegate of Heritage, the Historical City Center and Nature, Mr. Rafael Jaén, the Delegate of Urban Planning and Housing, Mr. Luis Martín Luna, and a team of technicians from the Department of Urban Planning and the Delegation for Heritage and the Historical City Center of the Municipal Government.

The objective of this visit, which also toured through other emblematic enclaves inside the city, was to become familiar with Cordoba’s experience with the recovery and management of the city’s archeological heritage.

This trip, which was promoted by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, and the IH Restoration Group, took place shortly after a visit to Saudi Arabia by the General Director of Casa Árabe, Eduardo López Busquets, to attend the official opening of the exhibition “From Qurtuba to Cordoba,” organized by the institution last February in Riyadh.
