The session, which took place on Wednesday, April 5, came about as an initiative by professor Juan José Abril de Diego, who works in the advanced degree program in Physical and Athletic Activities Planner at that school.

To get more in-depth knowledge about the story behind the film, one of the students prepared a presentation which he used to explain to his classmates what Kurdistan is and the history of the Kurdish people.

Abril de Diego learned about the screening of this film at Casa Árabe because it was mentioned by Dr. Miguel Litton Muñoz on the radio show “El Transistor” on Onda Cero (in Spanish). Litton is a Spanish urologist who received the Altruism Award of 2016 for his work with the “Surgical Brigades,” an organization with which he has carried out transplants in countries like Iraq, a subject that appears briefly in the film.
