Seminar on “Moroccan literature in the Spanish language” 

The Cervantes Institute in Fez has organized this event on Wednesday, April 5.

Meeting at this seminar will be writers and specialists in Moroccan literature in the Spanish language, in order to analyze the emergence, development and current status of this literature, which uses the language of Cervantes as a form of artistic expression, so as to increase awareness of this ilterature’s existence, promote it and provide the works and writers with acknowledgment.

The schedule includes a conference, round table discussions and other activities that will give great momentum to the dissemination and recognition of this literary phenomenon.

Taking part in the event will be Abdellatif Limami; Cristian Ricci, of the University of California, Merced; Mohamed Lahchiri, a writer and journalist; Aziz Tazi, a poet and professor; Saïd Sabia, philologist; Mustafa Adila, a Hispanist, historian and  professor; Farid Othman-Bentria Ramos, a writer and poet; Professor Malika Kettani, and Sahar Ouafqa, a PhD student.

The seminar was organized with the cooperation of the Hotel Barceló in Fez, Morocco.
