No Other Land, by Basel Adra, Mahdan Ballal, Racher Szor, Yuval Abraham (Palestine, 2024, 95 min.)
Basel Adra, a young Palestinian activist from Masafer Yatta, in the West Bank, has been fighting against the mass expulsion of his community by the Israeli authorities since childhood. He has documented the slow-motion eradication of villages in his home region, where soldiers deployed by the Israeli government gradually demolish houses and expel their inhabitants. At one point, he meets Yuval, an Israeli journalist, who supports him in his efforts. An unlikely alliance develops. However, the relationship between the two is strained by the enormous inequality which divides them: Basel lives under military occupation while Yuval lives freely without any restrictions.

Thursday, June 12
Farha, by Darin J Sallam (Jordan, Sweden, Saudi Arabia, 2021, 92 min.)

When the authorities decide that the trees must be cut down because they pose a threat to the Defense Minister and his family, Salma decides to wage a legal battle to save her lemon trees.
