SOS Racismo has organized its 2015 Anti-racism Days

With the slogan “We Are All Migrants”

As of March 16 in Madrid, the non-governmental organization SOS Racismo Madrid has organized its Anti-Racism Days of 2015. This edition is focusing on gender, with the slogan “We Are All Migrants.”

The planned schedule is as follows:

Monday, March 16
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Reading of the stories selected in the “City of a Thousand Cultures” storytelling competition.
Location: Sala Mirador

Tuesday, March 17
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Round table discussion on “Women and Borders.”
Participants:
Gabriela Morales, human rights defender from Mexico.
Ana Magarzo, attorney, SOS Racismo Madrid.
Margarita Martínez Meza. The group “Territorio Domestico.”
Gabriela Sánchez. Journalist. Coordinator of the section “Desalambre” at diario.es.
Patricia Gonzalez. Holder of a Master’s degree in intercultural mediation from a gender-based perspective.

Wednesday, March 18
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Showing of the finalist photographs in the competition “Luz contra el Racismo” (“Light Against Racism”) and FotoVoz “Madrid desde sus ojos” (“Madrid Through Its Eyes”) by Isabel Vieco and Elena Núñez, with the cooperation of the Kissy Association.

Friday, March 20
Time: 8:00 p.m.
Screening of the short-subject films which were finalists in the “Shorts Against Racism” competition.

Sunday, March 22
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Awards handed out and closing event of the 2015 Anti-racism Days Screening of the winning works.
