Spain's Position on Jerusalem
Communiqué number 252 by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation regarding Spain's position on Jerusalem.
The Government of Spain would like to reiterate its position regarding the status of the city of Jerusalem, which coincides with that stated in several United Nations resolutions. Jerusalem is one of the central issues in the Peace Process and must be the subject of negotiations between the Israelis and Palestinians. The best way to ensure both parties' aspirations is the two-state solution, Israel and Palestine, living together with peace and security. Jerusalem's final status must be the result of such negotiations.
