BERLíN, ALEMANIA
The Spain Brand will be devoting this week, from Sunday, August 30 to Sunday, September 6, to Spanish-German relations, and more specifically to Spain’s presence in Berlin.
Speaking at the business summit to be held on Tuesday, September 1 in the morning is the Spanish government’s High Commissioner for the Spain Brand, Carlos Espinosa de los Monteros, who will be presenting the video-mapping titled “Spain Today: A new vision of Spanish talent” to the businesspersons attending.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, José Manuel García-Margallo is planned to present the video-mapping to the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, and to the President of the Spanish Government, Mariano Rajoy, when they arrive at the premises where the business meeting will be held.
On the same date of September 1, at 8:00 p.m., the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation will also be presiding over the premiere of the video-mapping at Potsdamer Platz, where it will be displayed every evening from September 1-4. Attending the opening event –at which the Minister will be saying a few words– are the High Commissioner for the Spain Brand and the Ambassador of Spain in Berlin, Pablo García-Berdoy, as well as many guests from the political, economic, business and art worlds in the German capital.
For the occasion, the Office of the Government’s High Commissioner for the Spain Brand has implemented a digital Communication Plan that will focus on the publication of a specific website (landing), a promotional audiovisual video that will be shown in Potsdamer Platz, an informative brochure, etc. Moreover, a campaign is already being carried out on social networks and will last until August 7 on Twitter and Facebook. The hashtag #EspañaenBerlin will be used to spread the word about the values and features of Spanish society promoted in the video-mapping, the events that will be held in the German capital those days, photographs of the events and, above all, the display of the video-mapping in Potsdamer Platz. The Spain Brand will also be starting up a contest on social networks –with Iberia Express as a sponsor– to give a prize for the best “selfie” representing the friendly relations between Spain and Germany, and the values of the Spain Brand.
