MADRID
More than eighty researchers and specialists on the Arab and Muslim world in Spain met at the Casa Árabe headquarters in Madrid on the dates of November 23 and 24 on the occasion of the Forum for Research on the Arab and Muslim World (FIMAM). This edition of the forum, which has been meeting informally for 20 years at different locations throughout the Iberian Peninsula to act as a space for sharing and scientific cooperation among the researchers who work on these topics in different disciplines, was one of the largest ever in terms of the number of people attending and presentations, since the edition of 2005 held in Barcelona.

During two days of intense work, 67 presentations and research projects were discussed, including recently completed theses and others in their final stages, by young researchers who have dealt with a very wide variety of topics and dimensions in today’s Arab and Muslim world and its relations with other regions in the world, including Spain, Europe and the United States. The following are summaries of these presentations, given at the different sessions on the event’s schedule: Summary of presentations
