Tenth Anniversary of the Spanish-Arabic Intercultural Circle (CIHAR)
On Wednesday, January 15, CIHAR will be celebrating one decade of work through an event at Casa Árabe. There will be two sessions, one in the morning and another in the afternoon, with poetry and music by Eduardo Paniagua. Don’t miss it.

The afternoon session will start at 6:30 p.m. in the Casa Árabe Auditorium (Calle Alcalá, 62) and will include the participation of musician Eduardo Paniagua, who will give an introduction to the music of Al-Andalus, followed by María del Carmen Vera, who will take a look back at the figure of Ziryab, “the singer of Baghdad,” accompanied on the lute by Isabel Cabrera Saúco. This will be followed by a poetic recital for peace and interculturality. The event will end with a brief musical performance featuring the Arabic oud and guitar.
Both sessions are scheduled to last two hours and admission is free until full capacity is reached.
The Círculo Intercultural Hispano Árabe (Intercultural Spanish-Arab Circle), known by the acronym CIHAR, is an organization dedicated to promoting dialogue, understanding and cultural exchange between the Hispanic and Arab communities. Through various activities, such as conferences, workshops, exhibitions and cultural events, CIHAR seeks to foster mutual respect, diversity and collaboration between both cultures. Its goal is to create bridges that unite people from different backgrounds in order to celebrate their cultural richness and strengthen their bonds of friendship and cooperation.
