The immaterial heritage of Ceuta

The course, given in person, will take place from July 1-3 and is intended for Bachelor’s degree and graduate students in Anthropology, Sociology, History, Art, Education and Tourism, as well as any other members of the public interested in Ceuta’s cultural heritage.
Immaterial cultural heritage consists of the real properties, movable properties, intangible and natural assets which comprise “the expression of cultural manifestations and activities (lifestyles, social customs, knowledge, festivities, activities and work methods, beliefs, languages, etc.) related with the people and constituting a significant, relevant form of expression by that people. The city of Ceuta possesses a rich and varied immaterial cultural heritage, in addition to its historical and natural heritage, as a border city located between two seas, in which diversity is one of the main markers of local identity.
