Trade mission to Tunisia 

You may now register to take part in the trade mission to Tunisia organized by the Madrid Chamber of Commerce from March 9 to 13, 2020.

The Tunisian economy, with more than 11 million inhabitants, is among the most competitive in the Arab world and Africa. Tunisia’s annual growth predicted for the year of 2020 will be 2.4%, in line with a rising trend in the upcoming years. Tunisia provides companies with a top-notch business atmosphere and a privileged geographic location straddling Europe, the Middle East and Africa, just a two-hour flight from the most important European capitals.

The competitiveness of its companies is also enhanced by the population’s high level of education, as well as the improvements introduced in recent years in both macroeconomic management and public institutions. Tunisia is ranked number one in North Africa in terms of attracting talent, according to the Global Talent Competitiveness Index. At the same time, the Tunisian government has confirmed that it is placing a priority on the EU as a partner in its foreign relations, which has been reflected in the EU-Tunisia Privileged Relations Agreement signed in November 2012. It outlines the path towards greater economic integration to negotiate a full Free Trade Agreement (FTA) that began in 2016.

In order to explore the business opportunities offered by this country and promote cooperation between Spanish and local companies, the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services has organized this trade mission, which is especially intended for companies interested in the sectors of consulting, engineering, machinery, industrial and electrical equipment, construction, infrastructures, water, renewable energies, railways, logistics, energy, agriculture, information and communication technologies, chemicals and pharmaceuticals. These sectors hold a high priority but do not exclude others.
