Winners of the SEEA ‘Young Researchers’ prizes

Once more, this year the Spanish Society for Arab Studies (SEEA) has awarded the ‘Young Researchers’ acknowledging with a prize the work they have done and the innovative character of their ideas. Casa Árabe collaborates with these prizes.

The 2012 edition the 1000 euros prizes was awarded to Victoria Khraiche Ruiz-Zorrilla for her work Expresión político-cultural de los poetas y literatos palestinos del interior (Political and cultural expression of Palestinian poets and literary men from the inside of the country). Laila Jreis Navarro was granted the second prize, valued in 500 euros, for Ibn al-Jatib en su exilio magrebí: ¿viajero, político o conspirador? (Ibn al-Jatib in his Maghrebian exile: traveller, politician or plotter?).

The SEEA is a scientific association founded in 1993 and which gathers researchers and professors interested in developing, promoting and spreading Arab studies in Spain.
