Women, Childhood and Adolescence in Palestine

On March 19-21 at its headquarters in Madrid, Casa Árabe will be hosting several days of activities on "Women, Childhood and Adolescence: A Focus on Rights in the Humanitarian Action in the Occupied Palestinian Territory," organized by the Spanish committee of the UNRWA.

March 04, 2013
The main objective of these Days is to analyze and evaluate the application of the Human Rights Based Focus (HRBF) to the humanitarian action occurring in the occupied Palestinian territory, with a special look at groups such as women, children and adolescents. To do so, the theoretical foundations necessary to understand both the HRBF and the humanitarian situation in the Palestinian territory will be examined. Along with humanitarian and development professionals, information will be shared and specific experiences in the field analyzed. The final session will be devoted to holding work groups in which those attending will get the opportunity to share their knowledge with other people involved.

The intended participants are all people who are professionally or academically related with development cooperation, humanitarian action, gender and childhood, including experts, the representatives and technical staff for humanitarian aid in bodies of the public administration, the technical personnel and volunteers of ONGD, members of centers for research on development aid and cooperation, specialists on gender, childhood, adolescence and education, and students involved with humanitarian aid and development cooperation.

These Days will be held at the Casa Árabe headquarters in Madrid (at Calle Alcalá, 62). Free entrance, after registering in advance here.
