- His intellectual education
- His education in religious sciences, Islamic law, philosophy and medicine, as well as the influence on him by the tradition of Al-Andalus and Aristotelianism.
- The significance of his thought
- His contribution to passing down Aristotle’s thought and his defense of reason as a legitimate path to knowledge in dialogue with faith.
- Works by Averroes
- An overview of his intellectual writings in fields such as philosophy, medicine, law and astronomy, highlighting their interdisciplinary nature.
The content is presented in Spanish, English and Arabic, reinforcing the project’s international scope and intercultural nature.
The purpose of the “Averroes Universe” program is to reclaim the figure of Averroes as a symbol of dialogue between cultures, spread knowledge about the intellectual legacy of Al-Andalus, promote thought today about the relationship between reason, science and religion, and further Cordoba’s cultural heritage around the world.
