Throughout 2026, the city of Cordoba is paying tribute to one of its most iconic historical figures, highlighting his intellectual legacy with a comprehensive program of activities including conferences, seminars, exhibitions and workshops.Casa Árabe is contributing to this initiative with the events listed below.
- Creative workshops on Averroes
From April 23-November 19.
Intended for all audiences, these workshops combine artistic creation, crafts and public outreach on historical information, inviting participants to explore the figure of Averroes from a practical and experiential perspective.
- Averroes / Ibn Rushd, Intellectual and His Time.
From April 27-29.
An international congress at which renowned specialists from universities and research centers in Europe, the United States, the Arab world and Latin America will be analyzing his legacy from an interdisciplinary perspective, over the course of three days.
- Seminar of the “International Working Group (AAIWG): Ibn Rushd, Averroes and Latin Averroism: The Aquinas and “the Arabs”
