To mark the 900th anniversary of the birth of Ibn Rushd (Averroes), Casa Árabe has organized a special series of creative workshops developed by SextoMario for all ages at its Cordoba headquarters. Check the dates and sign up!
This initiative pays tribute to one of the city’s most iconic figures, highlighting his intellectual legacy and his deep connection to Cordoba as a hub for knowledge, dialogue and cultural exchanges.
Intended for all audiences, these workshops combine artistic creation, craftsmanship and public outreach about history, inviting participants to engage with Averroes as a historical figure from a practical and experiential perspective. Through each activity, the memory of an Al-Andalus Cordoba, where philosophy, science and the arts flourished, is revived, while we explore the relevance of this knowledge today.
Each workshop includes a narration that helps imagine Ibn Rushd within his Cordovan environment, thus evoking his life, thinking and contributions to the development of universal knowledge.
