Casa Árabe headquarters (at Calle Samuel de los Santos Gener, 9). Mondays through Fridays, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:30 to 10:00 p.m.As an exception, on weekends, including May 4, 5, 11 and 12, we will remain open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. (on Sunday, May 12 until 8:30 p.m.) Free entry until the event’s capacity is reached.

To mark this celebration, from May 4 to 12, Casa Árabe will be opening the doors of its courtyards on weekends, as well, and we are extending our opening hours from Monday through Friday. The Courtyards Festival is considered a World Heritage event by UNESCO.

For yet another year, Casa Árabe is taking part in the Courtyards Festival of Cordoba, as a non-competing participant, to be held in the city from May 2 to 14. This time around, we will be extending our opening hours at the headquarters so visitors can come Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:30 to 10:00 p.m. And as an exception, we will be opening on weekends, including May 4, 5, 11 and 12 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m and from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. (on Sunday, May 12, until 8:30 p.m.).

The Casa Mudéjar building consists of a set of five different houses linked together by corridors, passageways and stairwells, with four courtyards (three of which can be visited) and a turret. The original building dates back to the fourteenth century, though most of the current structures are from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. It is located within the southern part of Cordoba’s Historical Center near the Mosque-Cathedral, within the area declared to be a World Heritage Site.

Spain’s National Heritage Entity has assigned this historical building to Casa Árabe for use as its headquarters in Cordoba.

On this occasion, visitors will get the chance to enjoy two exhibitions: “The Nile Is More than a River,” by artist María Primo, in which the photographer approaches that river’s life and the threats looming over it and its ecosystem; and the “Al-Andalus Mathematics Walk: Sense, mathematics and Al-Andalus art the monuments,” which will be giving us a closer look at our heritage from Al-Andalus by introducing us to mathematics through the history and art of that time period.
