On Saturday, November 8, the Cordoba sessions in our Palestinian Film Festival are continuing, with this screening of a film by Mahmoud Atassi. After the screening, there will be a colloquium moderated by Ghaleb Jaber Ibrahim, honorary president of the Araguaney Foundation, and María del Mar Rivas. Come see them.
Eyes of Gaza (Mahmoud Atassi, Al-Jazeera 360, 2024. 50 minutes)
Of all conflicts, the one in Gaza has seen the most journalists killed since the Committee to Protect Journalists began collecting data in 1992. This documentary follows three Palestinian reporters as they risk their lives to do their job in northern Gaza. The film, which focuses on the importance of their work, is dominated by two main colors: the gray of a Gaza reduced to rubble and the dark blue of the bulletproof vests worn by the journalists.
