In conjunction with the Palestinian Film Festival, on Thursday, October 16, we will be hosting this conference at our headquarters in Cordoba with the participation of María del Mar Rivas and Manuel Bermúdez from the University of Cordoba. Come and listen to them.
At this conference, Professors María del Mar Rivas and Manuel Bermúdez from the University of Cordoba will be offering a critical reflection on how film and other cultural expressions become vehicles for collective memory when dealing with the trauma of occupation. The professors will explore the ways in which Palestinian creators reclaim their identity and tell their own stories, challenging hegemonic narratives. Through testimonials, analysis and debates, they will be addressing the interwoven nature of culture, territory and resistance. This purpose of this all is to invite the public to understand Palestine not only as a conflict, but as a vital experience interlinked between past, present and hope for the future.
