    Arabs and Americans: Cinema as a mirror

    From May 3rd to 31st, Casa Árabe will display in Vigo this cinema series in which Arab and American directors try to see each other, to get to know and to get an interpretation through diverse perspectives, which include references to History, identity, soccer, politics or marginalization, among other topics.

    Casa Árabe and Escuela Diplomática (the Diplomatic School) organize this course, co-directed by Gema Martín Muñoz, Casa Árabe's general director, and José Mª Ferré de la Peña, Special Ambassador for Relations with Muslim Communities and Organizations Abroad. It will take place from 5th May to 1st June.

    Casa Árabe, Anna Lindh Foundation and CIDOB organize this international seminar to stimulate the debate and knowledge of the relations between Europe and the Arab world. Specialists and scholars from various origins, relevant figures and institutions that work in this domain, will evaluate the various dynamics between Europe and the Arab world, a prospective space on how they should be reinforced.

    Casa Árabe presents the fourth edition of its Panorama of contemporary Arab documentary cinema, which is framed within the International Festival Documenta Madrid 2010 which will be held from the 10th to the 14th of May in Madrid.
