CIHAR’s Annual Meeting for 2021
On the upcoming date of Friday, September 10 at its headquarters in Madrid, Casa Árabe will be hosting this institutional gathering, which the Intercultural Spanish-Arab Circle (CIHAR) has been organizing since 2014.

Presented in addition to this will be the activities carried out in 2020 and 2021, as well as last year’s CIHAR Gold Medals, given when restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic made it necessary to hold the event online.
Artists Ana Crespo, Diego Moya and Rachid Koraïchi will be receiving this award, along with the Desmontando Madrid - The Madrid Andalusí Program, The Center for Studies on Islamic Madrid (CEMI) and the Euro-Arab Foundation for Higher Studies.
In 2017, this acknowledgment was bestowed upon Casa Árabe ”for its work to increase awareness about Arab culture and everything surrounding it, bringing the Arab world closer to Spanish society through a wide range of cultural activities.”
In addition to the award winners, the event will be attended by: the Ambassador of the Arab League, Bachar Yaghui; the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Danki Savić, the Director General of the United Nations, International Organizations and Human Rights of the Government of Spain, Fernando Fernández-Arias Minuesa; the cultural attaché of the Arab Republic of Egypt and director of the Egyptian Institute, Rasha Ismael; the President of the Foundation Assembly of Mediterranean Citizens (FACM), Vicente Miguel Garcés; the Executive Secretary of the Euro-Arab Foundation, Inmaculada Marrero; and the Secretary General of the Islamic Culture Foundation, Encarnación Gutiérrez.
Attendance by personalities from the academic, cultural, diplomatic and institutional worlds is also expected.
