About the series “Taj Mahal”
“To evoke the gaze of love, inseparable from perception and visionary revelation, I found inspiration in the Taj Mahal: a history of love and unveiling. The Taj Mahal’s design was inspired by Ibn Arabi’s “vision” of paradise. That paradise is revealed at every instant in the act of contemplation. The Taj Mahal is a symbol of the feminine principle existing among human beings regardless of gender, upon their unveiling. Sheets of paper dance together, connecting different levels of space through which many ‘veils of light’ flow. It is a powerful yet delicate dance of lighted architectures.”
