The KAICIID is an intergovernmental organization with a dual governance structure, including a Council of Members made up of states and a Governing Board composed of religious leaders, the purpose of which is to bring together followers of different religious traditions, religious leaders and politicians. Its Advisory Forum, with more than 60 religious leaders from the world’s major religions and cultural traditions, connects and builds networks among communities worldwide. KAICIID’s member states—the Republic of Austria, the Kingdom of Spain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Holy See, as a founding observer—and the Board of Directors guarantee the independence of KAICIID’s programs from the interests of any one country or religious denomination. The center convenes and facilitates dialogue by bringing together religious leaders, policy-makers and experts so that they can find common solutions to shared problems.
