CÓRDOBA
After many years of hard work, the Sísifo Research Group (PAIDI HUM 236; Archeology Department, University of Cordoba) and the Scientific Culture project “Arqueología somos todos” (“We Are All Archeology”), have taken on a role of greater responsibility, also supporting other institutions and individuals who have stood out (at the local, regional, national or international levels) in researching, defending and increasing awareness about Archeological Heritage. In doing so, they undoubtedly support their struggles and commitment towards Archeology, encouraging them to choose a difficult path filled with ups and downs, while acknowledging their efforts to preserve the material and intellectual legacy of our past, at the same time as creating incentives through their example to all those role-players who are related with the world of Archeology in one way or another.

Candidates for the third edition of the Sísifo Awards may be public or private institutions, entities, private individuals or bodies corporate that have played a notable role in researching, safeguarding and/or increasing awareness about Archeological Heritage, either inside or outside of Spain. Candidacies may be submitted by the person or entity in question or may be proposed by other entities or individuals.
