This July, Casa Árabe is launching the Arabic Language Center’s urban children’s camp, so that boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 13 can learn Arabic in a fun and interactive context, with workshops, storytelling, cinema and outings.

The camp will last six hours, on Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with an extra hour of leeway in terms of the children coming and going (they can enter as of 8:00 a.m. and get picked up until 4:00 p.m.). It will be held at Casa Árabe’s headquarters in Madrid (address: Calle Alcalá, 62) (classrooms, multi-purpose room and gardens).

The camp offers educational and recreational activities in a lovely space with daily outings to the Retiro Park and Casa Árabe’s garden, run by teachers from Casa Árabe’s Arabic Language Center who have the expertise and experience in Children’s Education and the teaching of Arabic as a Foreign Language. The goal is for the children to learn Arabic from the very first moment of arrival in an environment filled with peace, trust and affection. During the camp, they will enjoy
by participating in activities on Arabic art and music, handicrafts and Arabic movies, with daily outings to the Retiro Park, outdoor games and outings on Fridays, as well as storytelling, Arabic calligraphy workshops, tatreez (Palestinian embroidery) and comics about the era of of Al-Andalus. In the middle of the morning, there will be two recesses so that the children can eat a small lunch, which they should bring from home.

The program is designed for children from 3 to 13 years old, with groups divided by age and level. Open to boys and girls with or without knowledge of Arabic.

You can sign up for individual weeks, and the time period for doing so will last from April 25 through June 22, including both of those dates. The price to register for one week is €145. You can register as of that date by going into the Casa Árabe Language Center section of our website.
