As part of the “Country Focus: Oman” program taking place at Casa Árabe during the second half of 2025, the institution is hosting two days devoted to the country, including an exhibition, a concert and a conference. The events are being held to mark the visit by H.E. Sheikh Khalifa al Harthy, Secretary of State for Political Affairs. They will be taking place on the dates of October 2 and 3.
The program will begin on Thursday, October 2 at 6:00 p.m. with the official opening of ”Images from the Land of Oman,” a photo exhibition by the Bait Al Zubair Foundation which will remain on display inside Casa Árabe’s Hall of Columns.
Then will come a performance of the concert “Musical Bridges: from Oman to the Mediterranean,” given by Oman’s First Royal Orchestra of Oriental Music and Folklore. The performance will be taking place in the Casa Árabe Auditorium, with free admission until the hall’s capacity is reached. The event is scheduled to end at 8:30 p.m.
The next day, on Friday, October 3 as of 10:30 a.m., we will be hosting a round table discussion on ”The Figure of Ibn Al Dhahabi,” given by Mahmood Al Abri, Secretary General of the Omani National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, and Khalid Al Maamari, an adjunct professor at the University of Sohar’s School of Education and Arts.
The events have been organized by Casa Árabe, the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Madrid, the Omani Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, and the Bait Al Zubair Foundation.
