    Cinema on Fridays in Cordoba

    From October 31, 2012 until December 21, 2012
    From December 7th to 21st Casa Árabe headquarters in Cordoba host the screening of three films by famous Arab directors and which have been released within the latest years. The program "Cinema on Fridays" includes titles such as Couscous -La graine et le mulet in original version – its director, Abdellatif Kechiche, was awarded the Special Jury Prize at the Venice International Film Festival and four Cesar prizes. The second of the long length films to be screened is the German comedy Almanya, by the director Yasemin Samdereli. The last film of this year is to be Le Grand Voyage written and directed by Ismael Ferroukhi, whose debut on cinema screens was this one and with which he won the best Opera Prima (debut film) at the Venice International Film Festival.

    In December, Casa Árabe screened at its headquarters in Madrid three films from renowned international directors. Screenings took place on 5th, 7th and 14th December.
  • 3rd Edition of the Palestinian Film Festival in Madrid

    3rd Edition of the Palestinian Film Festival in Madrid

    From October 19, 2012 until November 30, 2012
    Once more, Casa Árabe collaborates with the 3rd Edition of the Palestinian Film Festival in Madrid screening Ford Transit, a film directed by Hany Abu Assad and awarded by the Sundance festival. It takes place on Friday November 30th.

    Urban Cartographies: the city in contemporary Arabic cinema

    From October 24, 2012 until November 30, 2012
    Casa Árabe will display in Cordoba from October 26th to November 30th this season. It portrays the vision Arab filmmakers have on the city, as a place where desires, projects and hopes, dreams for anonymity and freedom can come true.

    From September 04, 2012 until November 26, 2012
    From September 17th to November 29th, Casa Árabe hosts in Madrid this season, an open window to the variety of the musical production in Arab and Islamic countries.
